Season 13 kicks off with a groundbreaking production of Christopher Marlowe's DOCTOR FAUSTUS—a powerful cautionary tale about the pitfalls of limitless personal ambition, asking the question: "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul?"

​This classic Elizabethan tragedy follows Faustus’s dramatic rise as a scholar and magician who sells his soul to Lucifer—facilitated by the demon Mephistopheles—for the sake of knowledge, power, and the enticements of wealth.

DOCTOR FAUSTUS was Christopher Marlowe's last play before his untimely and suspicious death in 1593, and it has had a lasting influence, inspiring adaptations across stage, film, and other media, with the characters of Faustus and Mephistopheles attaining iconic status in Western literature.
